Handbook of Low Temperature District Heating


It is finally out. Together with my colleague Antonio Garrido, we have just edited a book on Low Temperature District Heating at Springer. We initiated this as part of our RELaTED h2020 project. It resulted that both initiatives were accomplished almost at the same time.

Actually, it has been available online for some weeks, but the hardcover version arrived to my desk yesterday.

It has been a joint effort of almost two years, which was successful thanks to the committment of all our co-authors. Since the begining, we believed that such a multidisciplinary book required of the collaboration of people from many backgrounds. And we were lucky when people from varied backgrounds joined us in the process.

Ton ame just a few, we have incorporated statisticians, business consultants, bankers, energy analysts, mechanical engineers, manufacturers, DH operators (of course!), energy agencies … and even an architect. From a variety of countries acros Europe. They engaged as authors and contributors.

Together, we have created a joint outcome. 9 chapters, spanning over 215 pages, that we hope are useful in the development of (& transition to) low temperatura DH.
