Our paper on the «Assessment of thermal performance and surface moisture risk for a rear-ventilated cladding system for façade renovation» is now online.
In this work, typical calculations on the thermal performance of a mechanical anchor for ventilated façades are presented. This is shown to be increasingly relevant. Considering the investment in building envelope retrofit, it is important not to reduce the overal performance due to incorrect desing/selection of anchor systems.
